Abi Adarda' narrated that the prophet said, "If you knew what I know, you would laugh little and weep much, you would have gone out running to Allah Almighty.” Al Hakem.

Abdullah Ibn Amr narrated that the prophet passed by him while he was building a wall for himself and his mother, and he said: What is this, O Abdullah? Abdullah said: O Messenger of Allah, something that I can fix. He said: It is faster than that." Sahih Sunnan Abi Dawood.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, did not mean to prevent them from reforming that private house, but he does mean to remind them that the hereafter is the enjoyment, and that death is inevitably coming, and that the intelligent person is the one who will reform the hereafter before he cares about reforming this mortal.
Undoubtedly his advice also includes not being too preoccupied with the world, which distracts the believer, and makes the world in the end as if it were the intended goal.

"The matter is quicker than that." This means that death is inevitably coming, and you must prepare to meet Allah, that is, do not exaggerate in reforming your world, and do not exaggerate the interest in it, as is the case now, people care about the world exaggeratedly. The world for the believer must occupy little space, It really has to be a means, If it is a means, the believer will definitely not be concerned with false appearances, and with matters that are intended to be ostentatious. The believer's intention will really be to use this world as a bridge that connects him, the believer will care only about what helps him to obey Allah Almighty.

His saying, peace be upon him, “The matter is quicker than that”: that is, do not exaggerate your concern for your worldly affairs. And in the authentic hadith as well, “What is little and enough is better than that which is abundant and distracting.” Sahih al-Targheeb.

This hadith clearly indicates that the more a person is preoccupied with the world, the more it is a reason for his distraction and preoccupation.

Abi Hurairah narrated that the prophet said: "A servant says, My wealth. my wealth, but out of his wealth three things are only his: whatever he eats and makes use of or by means of which he dresses himself and it wears out or he gives as charity, and this is what he stored for himself (as a reward for the Hereafter), and what is beyond this (it is of no use to you) because you are to depart and leave it for other people. Sahih Moslem.

Abdullah Ibn Omar narrated that the prophet said: "The people of Hell are all arrogant and rough and the people of Paradise are weak and defeated." Sahih Al Gamee.
Abu Hurairah narrated that the prophet said: "Allah Almighty hates everyone who knows the world and is ignorant of the hereafter." Sahih Al Gamee.

He knows everything of the worldly matters; Such as commerce, industry, and other sciences, and he is far from Allah Almighty, his religion and his laws, “ignorant of the affair of the Hereafter,” meaning: but he is ignorant of what will benefit him in the Hereafter, and what brings him closer to Allah; because knowledge is an honor that does not perish, and whoever is content with the mortal despicable, then he is hated; for his wretchedness and because he knew what Allah and His Messenger did not like.
He knows useless knowledge and is ignorant of what is harmful to him. This is a slander for everyone who abandons obedience to Allah Almighty and strives in the affairs of this world only, and forgets the Hereafter.

Therefore, every Muslim has to stand with himself and ask himself about every action he did and for every word he said, for whoever asks himself in this world, his account in the hereafter will be easy for him. Our righteous predecessors used to hold themselves accountable even in the throes of death! ! !
